Autumn has been lovely this year in Perthshire, but now we are tidying up the leaves and settling down to winter.
The countryside is looking lovely with the first snows on the top of the hills. There are lots of walks in Perthshire from attractive low level paths to more challenging mountain routes there is something for everyone. It’s a great time of year for spotting wildlife with the leaves off the trees.
There is lots to do, with Horsecross Arts running an interesting programme of Art, Films and Music for all tastes. And Perth has a Winter Festival programme.
And the wonderful Perthshire food is waiting to be sampled, from farm shops to restaurants. We have a great selection on our doorstep.
Will we have a White Christmas? We shall have to wait and see.
First Snows in the Hills
Autumn is a great time to visit Perthshire with lots of walks on our doorstep, both low and high ground. The Perthshire autumn colours are famed, and there are red squirrels at the cottages currently. It’s a great time of year for being out and about.
