The crops are growing on the farm after one of the latest spring sowing periods for many years. The long hard winter finally let up at the end of March, and tractors and their drivers were very busy in April and early May trying to catch up.

For what it’s worth, the oaks were miles ahead this year, so perhaps we are in for a lovely summer. We have had a wonderful May in Scotland – no rain here at all and plenty of sunshine.
