It is Winter at Cloag Farm. So far we have had some snow, but a very icy period before Christmas wen we had to walk the dog in ice spikes on our boots. No white Christmas for us this year though – we get most snow in January/February. The farm is fairly quiet, but we have been loading oats out of our grain store onto lorries for Quaker Oats.
There is quite a lot going on in Perthshire with the Winter Festival in Perth continuing, including a riverside light show with 7 themes taking us to Valentine’s Day. There is a comprehensive list of What’s On in Perthshire.
Winter is a great time to wrap up and get out and about in the countryside. With the trees bare, it’s a good time to spot wildlife.
